The following are the details of each ingredient in a SignCommerce.net certified dealer's corrugated plastic yard sign. Hopefully this information will help you to make an informed decision about purchases for your sign based ad campaign.

THE PLASTIC

Technically, corrugated plastic is described as 4mm fluted polypropylene sheets. This material is extremely tough yet very lightweight. It is completely water and sun proof, and resists most stains and chemicals. Yard Signs made from this product will last at least 1 year outdoors, far exceeding the life of polycoated cardboard or bag signs. We have some yard signs that last 4 years or more outside in the weather. In addition, this material is recyclable.

UV INK

Our dealer's signs are printed with UV-cured ink designed specifically for outdoor longevity on corro. It has an extremely glossy and detailed finish. This ink is manufactured to endure at least 12 months of continous outdoor exposure, and to allow for plenty of flexing and bending. The ink comes in several standard colors and can be Pantone color matched, as well as used to produce beautiful four-color process (photo-like) work.

WIRE STANDS

Freedom Stands® brand Wire stands purchased through a Sign Commerce dealer are constructed of 9 gauge galvanized steel (largest that will fit into the flutes) with two lap welded cross bars. They measure 10" wide by 30" high (this is optimal width to reinforce the strength of the plastic) and are boxed for shipment. These stands are very easy to use. Just slide the wires into the flutes of the plastic until the first crossbar meets, and step down on the crossbar to push the stake into the ground. Beware of stands that use no crossbars or only one, as these can be very difficult to place into the ground.

Artwork

Certified dealers in most cases, are able to use your graphics design or they cutom design artwork for your yard signs. Often, templates are readily available that allow you to just plug in your name with a commonly used theme. Most dealers are even able to produce high quality four color process separations that will print beautifully.
